Zip-Wire and tree-top activity park - about 3/4 hr from the cottages and NEW for 2021 - a zipwire and tree-top park at the lake - around 15 minutes from the gites. Guerledan Parc Adventure

Fishing

The area around the gites is ideal for fishing, with several lakes within easy distance - including the 400 ha Lac de Guerledan which is famous for its Carp, Trout, Pike & Perch. Tourist fishing licence and fresh bait are available in local shops.

Horse Riding

There are numerous trails around the area, including extensive bridleways around Lac du Guerledan. There is a riding school next to the lake - Centre Equestre de Guerledan which takes riders any age above 3 yrs old, both for lessons, and for trekking.

Running

There are fantastic running trails around the gites, including quiet tracks. There are a number of circular routes of various lengths that start by the main gate of the gites and these have proved popular with our guests. For those wanting some competition there are some competitive races, not least the Trail-de-Guerledan.

Cycling

The area is famous for cycling, regularly featuring on the Tour de France - thanks to a 2km 15% hill. Over the summer the hill is a regular training spot for those wanting to improve their endurance and when 'Le Tour' is near you can easily see the professional teams out training. In 2015 the Tour stage finished just up the road from us.

For those looking for a more relaxing cycle there are extensive cycle paths around Lac du Guerledan and along the Nantes-Brest Canal - its very easy to cycle along the towpath all the way to centre of Pontivy for lunch

Cycling from the Gites - In 2016 a number of VTT (off-road cycle tracks) have been opened near the gites and are well signposted. They vary from woodland tracks to quiet lanes with a range of difficulties and distances. They are also ideal for walking along.
