  • Who can stay at the cottages?
    • For insurance reasons we only allow named guests to use the cottages, if your name isn't on the list as a registered guest then you can't come in. If you have, for example, booked Noisette and there are only 6 of you and you would like a friend to join you for the day (ie you are within maximum occupancy) then please ask us and we will be more than happy to add them to the guest list.
  • What is your maximum occupancy?
    • Our maximum occupancy is detailed for each cottage, this includes all adults, children and infants - Note some web sites don't consider babies and children to be humans and ignore them when counting numbers. We consider babies, and children of all ages to be humans and therefore count them when calculating occupancy. We do this for three reasons;
    • 1) We want our guests to have plenty of space and have set the maximum occupancy accordingly
    • 2) We are insured up to a certain occupancy only
    • 3) French law regarding public buildings counts all humans in their numbers and we follow french law, not what some US corporation has decided is good for their revenue.
  • What time can I check in?
    • Check in is 16:00-20:00 - if you have a problem and will be later than 20:00 / 8pm, then please send us an SMS, it is also very helpful, even if you are arriving normal check in times if you send us an SMS with your expected arrival time.
  • What time do I need to check out?
    • Check out is between 07:00 and 10:00, if you need to leave earlier then please discuss with us when you are here.
  • Can I check in early / check out late?
    • Subject to availability we offer an early check in and late check out - please note fees apply but start at 50 euros and go up to the full day rate, dependent on the chosen times. Please note during peak season we are usually fully booked and therefore availability of different check in/ out times is limited. We have these check in rules to ensure that the cottages can be prepared properly.
  • Can I charge my electric car at your property?
    • We don't currently offer this facility (and, to be fair, we don't provide diesel or petrol either!) but we are looking at getting a dedicated circuit installed for car charging. In the meantime the are multiple car chargers just a short distance from us, the nearest being about 10 minutes away, next to the local petrol station.
  • What is included in the rental?
    • We are set up as a 'home from home' and supply bed-linen, duvets, pillows, towels (apart from beach towels). In addition, as we have a septic tank system, we also supply all toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing powder and cleaning products for use at the cottages - this does not mean you can clear out the entire supply and take it home with you though! We also include wood for the fires, fire-lighters, gas and electricity (fair use only - this means, for example, If you leave the heating on high in the middle of winter with the windows open and run up a huge bill as a result, we will charge for the excess above our generous allowances).
  • Do you offer a cleaning service?
    • We ensure that the cottage is clean and tidy when you arrive, and we ask guests to leave the cottage clean and tidy when they leave. We provide cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure that you can leave the cottage spotless, if you need more please ask. If you don't wish to clean the cottage please feel free to engage professional cleaners - just let us know in advance. (eg Cleaners list)
  • Do you offer a meal service?
    • No, the cottages are self-catering accommodation, and have well equipped kitchens, alternatively there are numerous takeaways nearby, and lots of restaurants.
  • Do you accept Pets?
  • We accept well behaved pets in Noisette and Neflier, but you have to follow the following rules:
    • 1) They must be booked in advance
    • 2) max two pets per cottage
    • 3) All pets must be fully vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped, wormed
    • 4) They must be a domestic pet, and not in the category 1 or 2 status (Dangerous Dog legislation france)
    • 5) They must stay downstairs
    • 6) They must not be left alone in the property
    • Note, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any animal and / or move it to our kennels if we consider it a threat to the fabric of the building or ourselves or other guests
  • Do you accept parties?
    • Define 'Party'! We have had some lovely guests of all ages who have met up with groups of friends here and had great get togethers, but we ask you to respect the quiet hours, so our cottages are not suitable for the typical definition of a 'party'; if in doubt drop us a line and explain what you are planning and we can let you know.
  • Can I have exclusive use of the entire property?
    • Yes - if you book all the cottages. Please note the layout of the cottages is designed so that the guest areas can easily be kept private should that be required.
  • Is the pool area private?
    • The pool is not not visible from the road, nor is it visible from the fields that surround us, but obviously is shared with all guests from the cottages, see also the question above. The pool is therefore suitable for those who wish to observe particular dress code requirements if the you have booked all properties i.e. you have booked for exclusive use.
  • What are your quiet hours?
    • Our quiet hours are 10pm to 9am, during these hours no noise should be audible outside the cottage - ie by guests in other cottages or ourselves. At all other times we ask you to ensure your noise levels are respectful of other users of the cottages
  • I / My group has particular needs not covered in your FAQ where can I find the information?
    • Please feel free to use the contact form on the booking page and we will get back to you ASAP
  • Do you live on site?
    • Yes - this ensures that we can properly look after our guests, and also ensures that the property is properly supervised.
  • Do you have CCTV?
    • Yes, we have legally compliant CCTV for the security and safety of guests and for the protection of the property
  • Why so many rules?
    • Very simply, we want our guests to enjoy their time here, and be respectful of other guests and the property and ourselves. By being clear as the the expectations it ensures that there is a good match of guest and property; if you think the rules are silly or you don't wish to follow them, then book elsewhere, we wont be offended! If you see the logic in the rules and are happy to follow them then you are likely to fit in just perfectly and we would welcome your booking!
  • I would like to ignore or only partially follow some of the rules, is that ok?
    • No - please see question above and book at a property that fits your needs better - you will be happier and we will be happier.
  • What if I ask you really nicely?
    • Thank you for asking nicely, but the answer is still "no", but it will be said with a smile :)
